Stanislaw Meshcherskich

Stanislav Meschtscherskich ( Russian Станислав Мещерских , English transcription Stanislav Meshcherskikh ; born April 11, 1949 ) is a former Soviet middle-distance runner .

At the European Athletics Indoor Championships in Sofia in 1971, the Soviet team won the 4 x 800 meter relay with Valentin Taratynow , Meschtscherskich, Alexei Taranow and Viktor Semjaschkin and set an indoor world record with 7: 17.8 minutes.

In 1972 Meschtscherskich was the Soviet indoor champion over 600 m and won silver in the 4-by-720-meter relay at the European Indoor Championships in Sofia with the Soviet quartet.
