Stattzeitung for southern Baden
The Stattzeitung for South Baden was a magazine that was distributed in South Baden and Central Baden and was read there in the left-wing alternative scene . It appeared four times a year at irregular intervals. The first edition appeared in 1989 . Editor of the newspaper instead of South Baden is a volunteer working editorial collective called "Initiative for culture and networking in South Baden". The magazine published in Renchen sees itself as a mouthpiece for left-wing initiatives and organizations. The focus of the reporting is politics and culture with a regional focus. On July 3, 2010, the newspaper was discontinued.
The Stattzeitung for South Baden arose from an "initiative plenum" in the "Schneckenhaus", a free school in Offenburg . Members were various politically and culturally active groups and initiatives from the fields of theater , music , cinema , ecology , peace work , projects / companies with self-administration , refugee work , anti-fascism and various women's groups. The aim should be to achieve more communication and coordination among the various groups and to ensure an exchange of information and experience. The magazine should serve as a mouthpiece for the plenary. There were already some forerunners, such as the Et cetera , youth newspaper in the Kinzigtal (early 1973), quicksand , newspaper for the Kinzigtal (from 1979), Kinzigtäler Volkszeitung (KVZ, from 1985), or the Ortenauer Generalanzweifler , forum for politics and culture ( from 1983). Shortly after it was founded , the editorial team broke away from the initiative plenary, which no longer exists today, and published the Stattzeitung für Südbaden on its own responsibility.
Until issue 27 in 1996, the title was the Stattzeitung for the Ortenau , since then it has been called the Stattzeitung for Südbaden . This change in title expresses the spatial reference that has been expanding since the mid-1990s - Freiburg im Breisgau has now become a noticeable local focus of the reports.
