Stefan Ark Nitsche and Elisabeth Hann von Weyhern
Stefan Ark Nitsche and Elisabeth Hann von Weyhern are a German theologian couple. Both have shared the position of senior church councilor in the Nuremberg church district since 2006 and thus bear the title of regional bishop . This is the first time that a church-leading office will be held in a shared position . Before that, from 2000 to 2005 they shared the position of theological planning officer in the regional church office of the ELKB .
Career of Stefan Ark Nitsche
Stefan Ark Nitsche was born in Salzburg in 1955 . From 1974 to 1985 he was a director , dramaturge and author a. a. in Munich, Vienna and Salzburg.
From 1985 to 1990 he studied Protestant theology a . a. in Munich and completed his teaching vicariate from 1991–93 in Graefelfing. 1993–2000 he was assistant to Helmut Utzschneider at the chair for Old Testament at the Augustana University in Neuendettelsau . In 1997 he was promoted to Dr. theol. PhD.
In 2000, he completed his Magister Artium at the Mozarteum in Salzburg and completed his habilitation in Old Testament theology in 2004, and then worked as a private lecturer at the Augustana University in Neuendettelsau and as an assistant professor in Mainz and Stuttgart-Hohenheim .
Since the 2011/12 winter semester, Nitsche has been an adjunct professor at the Augustana University in Neuendettelsau . He holds lectures in the Old Testament at the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg .
Career of Elisabeth Hann von Weyhern
Elisabeth Hann von Weyhern was born in Esslingen am Neckar in 1963.
From 1982 to 1989 she studied Protestant theology and from 1989 to 1992 she was teaching vicar at the Dachau Peace Church . 1992–1998 she worked as a theological consultant at the district dean of Munich and Upper Bavaria.
1997–1999 she trained as a community advisor at the Rummelsberg community academy , in 2001 advanced training in large group methodology with a focus on future conference and 2003–2006 trained as a coach .
Stefan Ark Nitsche's candidacy for bishopric
Along with Heinrich Bedford-Strohm , Susanne Breit-Keßler , Helmut Völkl and Heinrich Götz, Stefan Ark Nitsche was one of the five candidates to succeed Johannes Friedrich as regional bishop of the ELKB. Before the election he decided not to run for personal reasons in order to be able to continue working with his wife in the Nuremberg church district.
