Stefan Frey (politician)
Stefan Frey (* 26. May 1975 in Starnberg ) is a German politician of the CSU . He joined in May 2020 District Administrator of the district Starnberg . His predecessor was Karl Roth .
Life
Frey grew up with his three brothers in Starnberg. There he attended the local high school. He then completed his law degree at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich and at the University of Passau . After completing the two state exams, he worked for the Free State of Bavaria and, among other things, worked in the state building administration. Most recently, from May 2017 until his election as district administrator, he was head of the department for domestic policy issues in the Bavarian Ministry of the Interior . For the CSU he was elected to the Starnberg City Council in 2014. In the 2020 local elections , he prevailed against Martina Neubauer ( Alliance 90 / The Greens ) in the runoff election .
He is married and has three children. His father is the former district administrator of Starnberg Heinrich Frey .
