Karl Roth (politician, 1954)

Karl Roth (* 5. August 1954 in Neuhütten ) is a German politician of the CSU . From 2008 to April 2020 he was District Administrator of the Starnberg district . His successor is Stefan Frey .

Life

Roth attended elementary school and then the state secondary school in Gemünden am Main . After finishing school, he began to work for the Bavarian police and from October 1971 worked for the Bavarian riot police in Nuremberg . In the spring of 1974 he was transferred to the Starnberg police station and the Herrsching police station on Lake Ammersee . From 1981 he worked in the Fürstenfeldbruck police force . In addition to his work in the police force, Roth completed further training to become a graduate in administration from 1982 to 1984.

From 1996 to 2008 he was First Mayor of Andechs , initially on a voluntary basis, which went hand in hand with a reduction in his service at the criminal investigation department, and from 2002 onwards as a full-time employee. He resigned from the police force. Most recently he was chief detective .

Furthermore, Roth was deputy district administrator of the Starnberg district from 2002 to 2008 under district administrator Heinrich Frey . In the local elections in March 2008 , he was elected district administrator in a runoff election. He replaced his party colleague Heinrich Frey, who was no longer allowed to run for reasons of age. In the local elections in March 2014 , Roth will be re-elected. In the local elections in 2020 , he has not raced for more.

From July 1, 2015 to June 30, 2016, Roth was the chairman of the Bavarian rural school home association .

Roth has been married since 1975 and has two twin sons.
