Johann Mang

Johann Mang (born August 23, 1897 in Burgau ; † July 11, 1971 ) was a German local politician.

Career

Mang studied law and economics and graduated from the University of Munich with a doctorate in 1924 . From 1926 to 1928 he was a government assessor in the Swabian district in Augsburg and from 1929 to 1932 district administrator in the Kronach district office . In 1932 he came to Starnberg as a member of the government and was also a district administrator there from April 1, 1933 to December 14, 1933.

In 1936 he moved to the Bavarian State Ministry of the Interior as a consultant and department head . From November 1, 1952 to August 31, 1962, he was the regional president of Upper Bavaria .

He was closely connected to nature conservation and from 1963 to 1969 he was also chairman of the Bund Naturschutz in Bayern . Mang had been a member of the Catholic student union KDStV Tuiskonia Munich since 1918.

Mang is buried in Munich in the Nymphenburg cemetery (field 2).
