Ludwig von Knözinger

Ludwig Knözinger , later Knight von Knözinger , (born April 13, 1862 in Munich ; † October 7, 1943 there ) was a Bavarian civil servant . He was President of the Bavarian Administrative Court and District President of Upper Bavaria .

Life

After studying law at the University of Munich and doing military service as a one-year volunteer with the 3rd Chevaulegers Regiment in Freising, Knözinger joined the Bavarian state services (state bankruptcy in 1888). He worked u. a. from 1900 as district administrator in Gunzenhausen and from 1904 as government councilor in Munich. He was raised to the personal nobility . From 1917 to 1918 he was a State Councilor in the State Ministry of the Interior. From 1919 to 1924 he was President of the Bavarian Administrative Court , from 1924 to 1933 Regional President of Upper Bavaria. With the coming to power of the Nazis , he was retired.
