Heiliger has worked for almost all important manufacturers of seating furniture in Germany, including abroad, including Rolf Benz , Leolux, Bonaldo, WK Wohnen , Interprofil.

The design critic Volker Fischer describes the furniture from Heiliger as “comfort and calculation” that was not created for “galleries and museums”. Nonetheless, some of them can be found as exhibits in museums or have become archetypes of design. Much of the furniture is characterized by organic shapes and elaborate adjustment mechanisms.

In 1995, Heiliger designed the Culla rocking chair for the Strässle company. A special feature of the product is that the rocking movement takes place from left to right, which is why it is also referred to as a "cradle chair".

The Rolf Benz 3100 armchair designed by Heiliger has been in production for over 20 years and is considered a classic.
