Carlos Hyde (* 20th September 1990 in Cincinnati , Ohio ) is an American American football poker players in the position of running backs . He plays for the Seattle Seahawks in the National Football League (NFL).

youth

Carlos Hyde was born and raised in Cincinnati , Ohio on September 20, 1990 , and played American football at Princeton High School . The last three years in high school he lived with his grandmother in Naples and played there for the Naples High School , with which he won the championship in Florida .

college

After high school, Hyde was considered one of the best talents as a fullback . He received several scholarship offers from well-known colleges , including the three major universities in Florida ( University of Florida , University of Miami and Florida State University ). Since he grew up as a fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes in Cincinnati, he decided to go to Ohio State University . However, due to poor academic performance, he was unable to enroll straight out of high school at Ohio State, and he spent the fall semester of 2009 at the Fork Union Military Academy in Fork Union , Virginia to improve his ACT test performance .

Carlos Hyde then played college football for the Ohio State Buckeyes from 2010 to 2013 and grew steadily. He made his breakthrough as a junior with 970 yards and 16 touchdowns in less than ten games. In his senior year for the Buckeyes, he ran 1,521 yards and scored 15 touchdowns at an average of 7.3 yards per run - a new record for Ohio State University.

NFL

After swapping draft rights with the Miami Dolphins and the Denver Broncos , the San Francisco 49ers selected Carlos Hyde in the 2014 NFL Draft as the 57th player in the second round. He started the season as a backup for running back Frank Gore and scored his first touchdown in his first NFL game in a 28-17 win over the Dallas Cowboys . In total, Hyde scored 21 touchdowns in 50 games for the 49ers.

For the 2018 season, Hyde moved to the Cleveland Browns . There he played only six games in which he had five touchdowns.

On October 19, 2018, Hyde moved to the Jacksonville Jaguars in exchange for a five-round pick . In eight games for the Browns, he ran 58 times for 189 yards. He was released from the Jaguars on March 8, 2019. A day later, on March 9, 2019, the Kansas City Chiefs signed the running back, he signed a one-year contract for $ 2.8 million.

On September 1, 2019, the Kansas City Chiefs Carlos Hyde traded to the Houston Texans . In return, the Chiefs Guard received Martinas Rankin.

On May 22, 2020, the Seattle Seahawks signed running back Carlos Hyde, who signed a one-year contract for $ 4.0 million
