Stefan Hierholzer

Stefan Hierholzer (born November 24, 1985 in Sindelfingen ) is a German teacher , educator , therapeutic psychotherapist, specialist book author and sex pedagogue , and winner of the German Teacher's Prize . He is a research assistant at the Medical School Hamburg (MSH). Hierholzer's scientific work deals primarily with sex education, gender and queer theoretical issues. In the meantime he is the headmaster of Campus 29 of a technical school for social education in Hamburg-Barmbek.

Life

education

Hierholzer was born in Sindelfingen in 1985 as the second child of a bank clerk and a hairdresser . There he attended the Kindergarten Klostergarten and then the Königsknoll elementary school and left it with the recommendation for the secondary school. The high school then monastery garden he attended for one school year in order then to transfer to the high school to create (Eschenried).

During his secondary school days, Hierholzer worked as a class representative from grades 5–10 and as a school representative from grade 7 . In addition, he published the school newspaper (Eschenrieder) with his classmates and trained as a mediator . He later trained the mediators with classmates.

After completing secondary school, Hierholzer went to Herrenberg at the Hilde Domin School to complete his training as a state-approved educator. During his apprenticeship he did internships in the day care center Lilienstraße Sindelfingen, in the Königsknoll elementary school support class and in the child and adolescent psychiatry in Calw- Hirsau. He finally completed his year of recognition in the Hildrizhausen kindergarten. With the qualification as a state-recognized educator, he received the advanced technical college entrance qualification as the second best of his year .

academic career

Thanks to his very good graduation, Hierholzer was finally able to study the teaching post for vocational schools specializing in social pedagogy with a second subject in politics at the University of Lüneburg . During his bachelor's degree , he completed his first internship at the Hilde Domin School in Herrenberg. During his studies he developed his scientific profile on gender and queer issues as well as on sex education.

After completing his bachelor's degree, he worked at the IWK Lüneburg , at their college for curative education and care for the elderly . At the same time he completed his master’s degree in Lüneburg .

After his first state examination , he went to the regional vocational training center of the Duchy of Lauenburg in Mölln to complete his legal clerkship . In the meantime, he successfully built up the specialist school for curative education care with Änne Rickert-Petrick. The work at the technical school for curative education inspired him to write his first specialist book on the subject of sexuality and disability . In addition to his legal clerkship and book publication, he completed his training as a therapeutic psychotherapist. Hierholzer then switched to the vocational school of the Stormarn district in Ahrensburg to design and implement the social assistant training course there . After the successful implementation he moved to BBS I Gifhorn (Lower Saxony) and teaches educators, social assistants and geriatric nurses there. Together with the headmistress Heidi Lobert und Kolleg at the time, he established the moodle learning platform and thus took the first step towards digitizing vocational training. In addition, he set up a specialist library for socio-educational professions.

At the end of 2017, Hierholzer finally switched to the university sector and has since worked as a research assistant at the Medical School in Hamburg. Hierholzer took over the school management of Campus 29 in 2020.

honors and awards

In 2016, Stefan Hierholzer was successfully nominated for the German Teacher Award by his students and received it in Berlin. This made him the first vocational teacher specializing in social pedagogy to ever receive this award.
