Stefan Jan Scholz (born December 15, 1938 in Königshütte ) is a German architect based in Berlin.

Life

Stefan Scholz graduated from high school in Gliwice and then studied from 1961 to 1965 at the Technical University in Cracow . In 1965 he completed an internship at the L. Martinoia architecture firm in Milan, before he began studying at the Technical University of Berlin in October 1966 , where he took part in the seminar of Oswald Mathias Ungers . In 1969 he obtained a main diploma from Werner Düttmann .

From 1968 to 1970 Scholz worked as a freelancer in Josef Paul Kleihue's office. From 1971 to 1974 he shared an office with Wolfgang Pohl and Ursula Ringleben in Düsseldorf. From 1974 he worked in partnership with Dietrich Bangert , Bernd Jansen and Axel Schultes in Berlin ("BJSS"). From 1992 to 1997 he shared an office with Bangert (BSA). Since March 31, 1997, he ran an independent office. In 2000 he led a workshop seminar “Platforma” together with D. Bangert at the TH-Breslau / Poland. From 2002 to 2003 he held a visiting professorship at the Academy of Arts in Poznan . From 2004 to 2006 he was visiting professor at the Technical University in Poznan . 2005-2006 teaching position at the Lausitz University of Applied Sciences in Cottbus.

  • 1992: Architecture Prize of the BDA -Berlin for the extension of the Albert-Einstein-Oberschule
  • 1994: Architecture award “Building and Designing with Facing Bricks” from the Clinker and Facing Bricks Working Group
  • 1996: Commendation in the builders' competition for the residential development in the Märkisches Viertel from the Berlin-Reinickendorf district office
  • 2005: Medal "Bene Merentibus" from SARP-Warszawa / Poland
  • 2009: Medal "Bene Merentibus" from the Department of Environment and Housing at the PK Kraków / Poland Arch. Faculty
  • 2010: Entry in the "Golden Book" of Cracow Politechnik Cracow / Poland
  • 2016: Medal "Merentibus" of the International Conference IPA Arch-Faculty PK Kraków / Poland
