Stefan Lindemann (composer)

Stefan Lindemann (born April 10, 1969 in Bremen ) is a German composer . He lives and works as a freelance composer and musician near Bremen.

Life

Lindemann studied composition at the University of the Arts Bremen with Luciano Ortis , Norbert Fröhlich , David Kosviner and Younghi Pagh-Paan . This was followed by postgraduate studies in music education at the HfK Bremen with a major in piano with Stephan Seebass , which he completed as a qualified music teacher.

Lindemann took part in the 11th International Master Class for Composition at BCNM Berlin. In connection with this, he had lessons with Hans-Jürgen von Bose , Theo Brandmüller , Paul-Heinz Dittrich , Hans-Ulrich Engelmann , Konstantia Gourzi , Klaus Hashagen , Werner Heider , Klaus Huber , Horst Lohse , Krzysztof Meyer , Martin Christoph Redel and Manfred Trojahn as well as educational courses with Peter Heilbut and Uli Molsen .

From 1999 to 2007, Lindemann was a lecturer for music theory and ear training at the HfK Bremen. In the summer semester of 2005 he was a lecturer for professional studies at the Detmold University of Music . Since 1999 he has also led nationwide seminars on setting up freelance music educators, a. a. at the Landesmusikakademie Berlin. In 2002 his book Marketing und Management für Musikpädagogen was published by Gustav Bosse Verlag .

Since 2007 he has given concerts with Constantin Dorsch, violin, and Friederike Maeß, violoncello, in the Trio Visurgis ; 2011/12 with Andreas Steiger in a piano duo. Since 2015 he has been giving concerts with Arvid Graeber, guitar, Carolin Lenk, violoncello, and Günter Orendi, drums, in a quartet, and with Mauricio Garza Salazar in a piano duo. As part of the DTKV Bremen, he has been leading the seminar intensive training in music theory and ear training - preparation for the entrance examination at German music universities for several years . He is the author of several articles in the specialist publications Neue Musikzeitung and Üben & Musiegen and Das Orchester . In addition, he has been a board member of the Bremen Composers Working Group and of the German Association of Musicians in Bremen for many years . Since 2015 he has been chairman of the Bremen-Mitte regional committee for Jugend musiziert. He is also the 1st chairman of the Rathauskonzerte Ganderkesee eV association. He is also a member of the European Piano Teachers Association (EPTA) section in Germany. Since 2014 he has also been teaching at the Bremen Music School, where he was head of the keyboard instruments department from 2015 to 2017 and has been head of the Bremen-Mitte district since 2017. In addition, he is the administrator of the "Kultur macht stark" project group of VdM and BMBF for the Bremen Music School.
