Stefan Orth
Stefan Orth (born August 17, 1968 in Duisburg ) is a German Catholic theologian and publicist .
From 1989 to 1998 he studied Catholic theology in Freiburg im Breisgau, Paris and Münster. Since 1990 he has been a member of the international research group “Film and Theology”. In 1998 he studied fundamental theology with Jürgen Werbick at the Catholic Theological Faculty of the Westphalian Wilhelms University in Münster with the dissertation The wounded cogito and the revelation. From Paul Ricoeur and Jean Nabert to a model of fundamental theology to Dr. theol. PhD.
He then became editor of the Freiburg magazine Herder Korrespondenz , and has been deputy editor-in-chief since 2014. He has also been responsible for external theological journals since 2015. Orth is a member of the Society of Catholic Publicists in Germany . His work focuses on the church, theology, art and culture. Orth published several books.
