Stefan Pelny

Stefan Eckhardt Pelny (born March 24, 1938 in Stettin ) is a German lawyer and former State Secretary in the Ministry of Justice of Schleswig-Holstein .

biography

After attending school in Düsseldorf, Stefan Pelny completed a law degree in Munich and Freiburg im Breisgau from 1958 to 1962, completing the second state examination. To the Dr. iur. He received his doctorate with a thesis on legislative financial control in the Federal Republic of Germany and in the United States of America . Pelny then worked in various functions in the Federal Chancellery until the end of the social-liberal coalition in 1983. He then moved to the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution as Vice President . In 1987, following a testimony in a committee of inquiry, he was given temporary retirement. He then worked as a lawyer, returned to the civil service in 1988 and initially served as head of the Schleswig-Holstein State Chancellery until 1993 , then as State Secretary in the Ministry of Justice there until 1996.

Pelny has been a member of the SPD since 1965.
