Stefan Rüttgeroth
Stefan Rüttgeroth (born March 4, 1981 in Göttingen ) is a German sports shooter . He competes in the discipline of target shooting ( shotgun ).
Stefan Rüttgeroth works as a commercial clerk. The Gieboldehausener starts for the WTV Nesselröden and is trained by Wilhelm Metelmann. First he celebrated successes in the junior division. At the Junior European Championship in Nicosia in 1998 he won the title, at the Junior World Championship of that year in Barcelona he was fourth, each time in the trap competition. In 1999 Rüttgeroth reached sixth place at the European Junior Championships in Poussan, France . He finished fourth in the Junior European Championship in Montecatini . The last major junior tournament was the Junior World Championships in Cairo , where Rüttgeroth finished seventh in the double trap and eighth in the trap competition. The breakthrough in the elite sector was not made until 2006 at the World Cup in Cairo, which he won. Rüttgeroth reached the 24th place in trap shooting at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing .
