Stefan Scheffold (born November 30, 1959 in Stuttgart ) is a German politician ( CDU ).

Life and work

After graduating from high school in Schwäbisch Gmünd , Stefan Scheffold studied law in Tübingen and Lausanne . In Tübingen he became an active member of the Catholic student association KStV Alamannia . In 1989 he passed the second state examination in law. He then worked as a lawyer in an auditing company and at ZF AG. In 1992 he received his doctorate and has since worked as a lawyer in Schwäbisch Gmünd. Scheffold is married and has three children. He is the son of the former Lord Mayor of Gmünd Hansludwig Scheffold .

politics

From 1993 to 1997 Scheffold was chairman of the CDU local association in Bettringen . From 1994 to 1999 he was a member of the local council of Schwäbisch Gmünd and from 1999 to 2010 of the district council of the Ostalb district . Since 1996 he has been a member of the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg , in which he represents constituency 25 (Schwäbisch Gmünd) . From 1998 to 2005 Scheffold was the financial policy spokesman for the CDU parliamentary group, and since 2005 he has been deputy group chairman. From February 24, 2010 to May 12, 2011, Scheffold was State Secretary in the Ministry of Finance of the State of Baden-Württemberg .

In addition to his position as Political State Secretary in the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Finance, Scheffold sits on committees of e-mobil Baden-Württemberg GmbH (member of the supervisory board), Landeskreditbank Baden-Württemberg Förderbank AöR (deputy member of the administrative board), Flughafen Stuttgart GmbH (member of the supervisory board), the BKV Bäder- und Kurverwaltung Baden-Württemberg AöR (member of the administrative board), the Staatliche Toto-Lotto GmbH (chairman of the supervisory board); of Südsalz GmbH (chairman of the supervisory board), Baden-Airpark GmbH (member of the supervisory board) and Südwestdeutsche Salzwerke AG.
