Stefan Stahel

Stefan Stahel (born July 5, 1962 in Stäfa ) is a Swiss jazz musician ( piano ).

Live and act

Stahel initially learned to play the piano on his own . In 1976 he made his first appearance as a boogie-woogie pianist. Since 1979 he has played as a jazz musician. In 1983 he appeared in his own music revue as an actor and music. Until 1990 he trained at the Swiss Jazz School in Bern with Silvano Bazan and Joe Haider .

Stahel performs with his own piano trio and has performed with Isla Eckinger , Roman Schwaller , Roland von Flüe , Bobby Watson , Danny Gottlieb , Mark Egan , Franco Ambrosetti , Joan Cartwright, Larry Alexander, the Zurich Jazz Orchestra and the New York , among others Voices played. He performed at the Montreux Jazz Festival with Kurt Weil and his Vibes Revisited . He can also be heard on albums by Vocal Contact Plus , RBM Acid Jazz Brasil Project , David Wildli , Richard Lipiec , Slide Stream and Christian Münchinger .

Since 2001 he has been a lecturer at the St. Gallen Jazz School.
