Stefan T. Pinternagel

Stefan Thomas Pinternagel (born August 15, 1965 in Straubing ; † October 13, 2009 in Augsburg ) was a German writer.

Life and work

Pinternagel first lived in Straubing, later in Lagerlechfeld and then in Augsburg, where he died in October 2009 after a long stay in Zurich after a serious illness. In 1999 his novel “Dance of Death” was nominated for the Kurd-Laßwitz-Prize . In 2001 he reached 3rd place in the 160-character literary competition advertised by Uzzi-Verlag in the "Love" category. In the same year he won 2nd place in the "Masked Ball Award". A year later, three poems were set to music for the CD “… I am accused of the rainbow” . His short story "Midas" was nominated in 2003 for the Bavarian-Swabian Literature Prize. The SF club “ÜberAll” voted its story “Double Health Inc.” first. In 2004, 2005 and 2006 he was one of the initiators of the readings “Burning Books - An Event on Book Burning on May 10, 1933” (with Peter Dempf , Rainer Braune and Franz Dobler ). Since 2006 he lived in Zurich and was a member of the AdS (authors in Switzerland).
