Stefana Veljković ( Serbian - Cyrillic Стефана Вељковић ; born January 9, 1990 in Svetozarevo , Yugoslavia ) is a Serbian volleyball player .
Career
Stefana Veljković has played in the Serbian national team in the middle block position since 2007 . She took part in the Olympic Games three times, reached fifth place in Beijing in 2008 , eleventh place in London in 2012 and won the silver medal in Rio de Janeiro in 2016 . Moreover Veljković won in 2010 the European League , was second in the 2015 World Cup was 2018 in 2018 World Champion and 2017 and 2019 European champion . Veljković played for the following clubs: OK Jagodina , Poštar 064 Belgrade (multiple Serbian champion and cup winner), OK Roter Stern Belgrade (Serbian champion and cup winner and second in the CEV Cup ), Asystel Volley Novara , MC-Carnaghi Villa Cortese and Galatasaray Istanbul . From 2014 to 2018 she was active at Chemik Police and won the Polish championship and the Polish cup several times. Since then she has been back in Italy for AGIL Volley Novara , where she won the national cup and the European Champions League in 2019.
Veljković was named “Best Server” at the 2010 Final Four of the CEV Cup and “Best Middle Blocker” at the 2017 European Championships .
