Volleyball European League 2010
The 2010 season of the European Volleyball League was the seventh edition of the competition. The men played from June 4th to July 17th. The women's competition began on June 5th and ended on July 25th.

The preliminary round was held in two groups, each with four teams. On one weekend, the teams played twice in one place, so that there were a total of six home and six away games for each team. The group winners and the best runners-up qualified alongside the host for the Final Four.

Final Four
The Final Four took place on July 16 and 17 in Guadalajara ( Spain ). In the semifinals, Spain beat Turkey in three sets and Portugal beat Romania in five set thrillers. The Turks then secured third place. In the final, Portugal defeated the hosts 3-1 and won the Europa League for the first time. For the Spaniards this is the second lost final in a row.
