Volleyball European League 2016

The 2016 season of the European Volleyball League was the thirteenth edition of the competition for men's and the eighth for women's teams. The men played from June 3rd to July 2nd, 2016, while the women's games took place between June 3rd and 26th.

The preliminary round was held in two groups of four teams each. This year the preliminary round was held in the form of two tournaments, similar to the qualification phase for the European Championship. The group winners, the best runners-up and hosts Bulgaria qualified for the finals.
