Stefanie Suren

Stefanie Suren (* 1978 in Tettnang , Baden-Württemberg ) is a German journalist and television presenter . She is employed by Deutsche Welle, where she is head of the "Digital Life" department.

After graduating from high school in 1997, Suren studied "Media Studies" and "Asian Politics" at La Trobe University in Melbourne , Australia. She then completed a tri-media editorial traineeship at Deutsche Welle (DW) and was trained as a television, radio and online editor. From 2003 to 2008 Stefanie Suren worked as a freelance reporter, editor and head of service for euromaxx - Life and Culture in Europe , a daily lifestyle magazine on DW . Following several work and study stays in China, she worked for six months at Radio Taiwan International in Taipei in 2006/2007 . During the 2008 Olympics , Suren reported from Beijing.

From 2008 to 2013 Suren was team leader and moderator at fit & healthy , a weekly health magazine of DW. From 2014 to 2016 she headed the Lifestyle Department in the Culture Department.

Suren lives in Berlin and is married to Markus Rau . She has two children.
