Stegg is a place and a cadastral municipality of the municipality of Kapfenberg in the district of Bruck-Mürzzuschlag in Styria .

The village is located in the Laming Valley .

Settlement development

At the turn of the year 1979/1980 there were a total of 35 building areas with 32,096 m² and 46 gardens on 55,614 m² in the cadastral community of Stegg , in 1989/1990 there were 35 building areas. In 1999/2000 the number of building areas had grown to 126 and in 2009/2010 there were 48 buildings on 128 building areas.

Land use

The cadastral community is shaped by forestry. 112 hectares were used for agriculture at the turn of the year 1979/1980 and 684 hectares were forest areas. In 1999/2000 agriculture was carried out on 86 hectares and 709 hectares were designated as areas used for forestry. At the end of 2018, 63 hectares were used as agricultural land and forestry was carried out on 706 hectares. The average soil climate number of Stegg is 19.1 (as of 2010).
