description

Summit area of the Steinberg

The Steinberg is located in the middle Kahlgrund , completely in the municipality of the Mömbris market, surrounded by the districts of Rappach , Mömbris, Heimbach , Rothengrund and Gunzenbach . Due to the lack of woodland, a wide panoramic view is possible there. In the northwest near Molkenberg the Steinberg goes flat over to the Kleiner Mark. The northeast slope is called Gickelstanz (local: Giggelsdons ). This is where the forest ditch stream rises . The Heimbacherhof is located in the southeast on the slopes of the Schafberg . The Maria Patrona Bavariae chapel is located on the Steinberg above Rothengrund . An asphalted local connection path ( Degen-Weg ) runs over the mountain .
