geography

course

The Steinebach rises at an altitude of about 460  m above sea level. NN northeast of Steinebach an der Wied in the forest area Buchborn . It initially flows in a southerly direction through a mixed forest area. At the Steinebacher Seifen it turns left and flows about a hundred meters to the east and then resumes its course to the south. About five hundred meters downstream it is fed on its left by the Wildenhahnbach coming from the Großer Weißenstein ( 509.8  m above sea level ) . The Steinebach now flows just under a kilometer southwest through an area in which forest meadows and small coniferous forests alternate. It now reaches the open corridor and flows westwards through the tub In den Weihern and Krummeviertel , then passes the Steinebach district of Langenbaum , where it crosses under K 24 ( Langenbaumer Straße ). Shortly before the stone stream reaches the eastern edge of the village of the same name, a stream flows towards it on its right. It now runs northwest on the southern edge of the village through the Bachhauswiese , where it forms a small pond. It disappears underground to the east of Schulstrasse . A good 150 meters to the west, the Bellerbach coming from the north reinforces it on its right . The Steinebach reappears on the surface west of the Mühlenweg and finally flows into the Mühlenwiese at an altitude of about 364  m above sea level. NN from the right into the Wied .
