Steinebach is a part of the municipality Windach in the Upper Bavarian district of Landsberg am Lech . The west of Hechenwang situated village lies at the headwaters of Schweinach brook.
history
The place goes back to a residence of the Lords of Steinebach, who were first mentioned in 1065 in a Wessobrunn manuscript. By the 16th century at the latest, the four courtyards belonged to the Hofmark of Dießen Monastery .
