Hechenwang is a district of the municipality of Windach in the Upper Bavarian district of Landsberg am Lech . The church village lies at an altitude of 594  m above sea level. NHN .

history

The place is mentioned in 1285 as the seat of the Lords of Schondorf. Hechenwang was an independent municipality from the municipal edict of 1818 until the regional reform and was incorporated into Windach on January 1, 1972, with the exception of the district ( state estate ) Achselschwang in the south , which came to Utting .

Attractions

  • The parish church of St. Martin in Hechenwang, an early work by the Wessobrunn architect and plasterer Joseph Schmuzer , was built in 1740. It is rich with amenities provided. The striking tower was renewed in 1974 with a double onion hood according to old plans.
