Steinerskirchen is a district of the Hohenwart market in Bavaria .

geography

Steinerskirchen is located approx. 15 km south of Ingolstadt and 60 km north of Munich in the district of Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm on the border with the district of Neuburg-Schrobenhausen . The parish village consists of a farm, a monastery and the Steinerskirchen Oasis Education Center.

history

Steinerskirchen is an original parish of the diocese of Augsburg . The 'stone church' was built in the eighth century and renovated at the end of the 15th century. Steinerskirchen has always remained small and is now the smallest parish in the Diocese of Augsburg.

Steinerkirchen belonged to the 1818 with the Bavarian Gemeindeedikt church plant free Hausen . The community belonged to the district of Schrobenhausen . On January 1, 1978, it was incorporated into the Hohenwart store.

On-site facilities

The Steinerskirchen oasis is the largest building in town, along with the order house. It is an educational facility established in 1984. The institution is run by the Sacred Heart Missionaries . There are currently 3 friars and 6 priests living there. The Steinerskirchen branch is part of the southern German-Austrian province of the Sacred Heart Missionaries. The abbreviation "MSC" stands for this medal.

Right next to the oasis is the Church of the Annunciation and St. Michael. The MSC celebrate the service there from Sunday to Friday at 7 a.m. The parish service also takes place on Sundays at 10 a.m.

The OASE education center is a seminar and leisure facility in the area. The Sacred Heart Missionaries farm 40 hectares according to the Bioland standard.
