The Steinfurtbach , also called Elbingstalbach , is a mountain stream in the Lower Harz in Saxony-Anhalt . The brook is a left tributary of the Selke .

The source is at Bärenrode . The stream flows through the Bärenröder pond and the Elbingstalteich , which dams the Steinfurtbach at the exit of the Elbingstal . In the parts below the B 242, this belongs to the Selketal nature reserve . Just a little below the Elbingstalteich, the Steinfurtbach flows into the Selke, which is a right tributary of the Bode , at flow kilometers 59.1 .
