Stella Harf (born August 12, 1890 in Dresden , † January 3, 1979 in Berlin ; born Gertrud Weibrecht ) was a German actress .

Life

She began her artistic career in 1911 as a choir singer at Berlin theaters and performed particularly at the Metropol Theater . Her husband, the actor, director and producer Ernst Reicher helped her to get leading roles in his films several times from 1917 under the stage name »Stella Harf«. She mostly played with him, but Hans Albers and Emil Jannings were also her partners.

After Reicher's serious car accident and his subsequent incapacity to work for several years, she faded into the background in the world of film at the beginning of the twenties. Since emigration and the death of her husband Ernst Reicher , she was dependent on the support of state and semi-state institutions.
