Stephan André Gamm , b. Dössel, (born May 10, 1971 in Hamburg ) is a German CDU politician and has been a member of the Hamburg Parliament since March 2015 .

Life and work

After graduating from high school in 1991 at Margaretha-Rothe-Gymnasium in Hamburg-Barmbek , Gamm did his basic military service with Panzergrenadierbrigade 7 in Fischbek / Neugraben . This was followed by training as a banker (1992–1994) and studying business administration at the University of Hamburg , which Gamm graduated in 2001 with a degree in business administration.

Gamm worked as an independent management consultant for a number of years. Since 2008 he has been working for a large international management consultancy in Hamburg. His branch focus is the energy industry. In this area, Gamm has published studies and articles on the future of energy networks, given lectures and was one of the initiators of the cross-party alliance “NO to buy the network!” Against the buyback of the network in Hamburg.

Stephan A. Gamm is married and has two children.

Gamm has been a member and mandate holder of the CDU Hamburg since 1994 . So he was u. a. from 2004 to 2008 member of the Hamburg Nord district assembly (economic policy spokesman). During his studies, Gamm worked as a research assistant for the former mayor Michael Freytag and Michael Waldhelm .

In June 2014 he became the top candidate of the CDU in constituency 9 (Barmbek-Uhlenhorst-Dulsberg) and was elected to the Hamburg parliament on February 15, 2015, of which he has been a member since March 2, 2015.

Gamm is the specialist spokesman for his group for the environment and energy and is also a member of the health, school, and science and equality committees.

On February 23, 2020, Gamm was again able to move into the Hamburg Parliament as a member of parliament .
