Stephan Auer-Stüger

Stephan Auer-Stüger (born February 28, 1979 in Gmunden , Upper Austria ) is an Austrian politician of the Social Democratic Party of Austria (SPÖ). Since February 27, 2019 he has been a member of the Vienna State Parliament and a member of the Vienna City Council .

Life

Stephan Auer-Stüger attended the commercial academy in Bad Ischl , where he graduated in 1998 . He then studied political science at the University of Vienna , completing his master's degree in 2004 .

He began his political career in 2001 in the SPÖ in the fifth Viennese district Margareten , where he was chairman of the young generation from 2003 to 2009 . From 2007 he was a district councilor of the district council . From 2004 to 2007 he was district manager of the SPÖ Margareten. He then worked in the Finance, Economics and International Affairs business group of the City of Vienna, initially as a political advisor, and from 2011 to May 2018 as office manager. Since January 2019 he has been a specialist in the Austrian Association of Cities .

On February 27, 2019, he succeeded Sandra Frauenberger , who resigned from her mandate, in the 20th electoral term as a member of the Vienna State Parliament and City Council, where he is a member of the city audit committee and secretary. In 2019, Auer-Stüger was also elected SPÖ district chairman at the SPÖ-Margareten district conference.
