Stephan Berke
Stephan Berke (born November 28, 1957 in Lingen (Ems) ) is a German archaeologist . From 1978 to 1987 he studied classical archeology, prehistory and early history , history and German at the Westphalian Wilhelms University in Münster . He received his doctorate in 1987 on the export of bronze vessels and terra sigillata to Germania libera . Since 2000, Berke has been teaching provincial Roman archeology at the University of Münster.

- 2008–2013 editor-in-chief of the magazine Geldgeschichtliche Nachrichten on behalf of the Society for International Monetary History , Frankfurt
- 2009–2011 Research Associate at the University of Marburg (DFG project for the publication of the Roman necropolis of Haltern)
- WS 2010/11 teaching position at the University of Trier, Institute for Classical Archeology
- since 2012 research assistant at the University of Trier
