Stephan Grosse-Grollmann

Stephan Grosse-Grollmann (* 1956 in Bamberg ) is a German filmmaker and honorary city councilor in Nuremberg .

Life and work

Stephan Grosse-Grollmann was born the son of a doctor in Bamberg and has been involved in film art , photography and painting since he was 14 . For his studies at the Academy of Fine Arts , he moved to Nuremberg, where his life has been since then. His activities within the Nuremberg cultural scene include the establishment of the Franconian film office , the development of a concept for a film house in Nuremberg , the activity as a lecturer for film art at the educational center as well as the collaboration in the art association Hintere Cramergasse and Kino im Komm .

In 1989 he was a co-founder of the municipal electoral community Die Guten , which he has represented on the Nuremberg City Council without interruption since 1996. Grosse-Grollmann attends national and international festivals with his experimental short films . a. in Bamberg, Dresden, San Roque and Neuchâtel; Since 2014, multimedia productions he has helped to create have regularly taken place in cultural centers in the greater Nuremberg area . In earlier decades he was entrusted with the cultural conversion and temporary use of abandoned industrial and barracks buildings. In the city council, he is primarily involved in environmentally friendly transport concepts such as B. the expansion of the cycle path network.
