Stephan Maria Glöckner (born September 24, 1961 in Neuss ) is a German musician, artist and designer .

Life

Stephan Maria Glöckner grew up in the Rhineland in a Catholic family home on. In 1982 he passed the Abitur at Are Gymnasium Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler and went on a long journey through Brazil , where he was confronted with great poverty. From 1984 to 1989 Glöckner studied graphic design at the Trier University of Applied Sciences and graduated with a diploma in illustration and typography. He received his musical training in guitar, piano and singing as well as harmony with William Gordon.

Glöckner is the founder of the German Latin pop band menino , whose name is derived from the Portuguese “the child / boy”. 2002 awarded him the then Federal President Johannes Rau for social and cultural work with Brazilian street children the Medal of Merit of the Federal Order of Merit .

Glöckner has been doing public relations work in the social and charitable area since September 2019 . He is divorced and lives in the Eifel .
