Stephan Richter (director)
Stephan Richter (* 1980 in Dresden ) is a German film director and screenwriter .
Life
Richter grew up in Ludwigsburg and studied media art with Bernhard Leitner and Erwin Wurm at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna. After his diploma film Out of Bounds (2006), Richter worked as a director and screenwriter for experimental films , interdisciplinary art projects and music videos. In 2012, for example, he took over the work for the music video Carrying the wave your boat by the artist Rummelsnuff . In addition, music videos were created for bands such as Gin Ga , Die Orsons and Willi Landl . For a project on behalf of Golden Girls Filmproduktion , Richter received funding from the Austrian Film Institute in 2012 for the development of material. In 2015, Richter filmed in his feature film debut One of Us an incident in which a 14-year-old was shot by a police officer while breaking into a Merkur market in Krems an der Donau at night .
