The Golden Girls Filmproduktion & Film Services GmbH is an Austrian film production company based in Vienna . The company sees itself as a “group of directors and producers active in the fields of experimental and feature film, documentary film, advertising and music video”. Golden Girls Filmproduktion is one of the new Austrian film production companies and is characterized in terms of content and production technology by the fact that it can produce particularly independently thanks to its own in-house post-production chain.

The company is a member of the Association of Austrian Film Producers .

The company owners are the Iranian-Austrian director Arash T. Riahi and the German-Austrian filmmaker and camera technician Raphael Barth.

history

The company was founded in 1998 as the Golden Girls Cooperation GnbR by Kristian Davidek, Geza Horvat and Arash T. Riahi. Raphael Barth joined the group in 2000. In 2007, Raphael Barth and Arash T. Riahi founded Golden Girls Filmproduktion & Filmservices Ges.mbH. In summer 2010 Sabine Gruber joined the company as co-managing director.

technology

In addition to several HD broadcast editing stations with 4K workflow, Golden Girls Filmproduktion und Filmservices GmbH also has a 35mm film recording, with which it is possible to make 35mm copies of digitally produced films and cinema advertisements. In addition, a digital cinema playout in MPEG-2 and JPEG 2000 as well as a Super8 digitization in HD is offered.
