Stephanie Lynn Floor (born February 9, 2000 ) is an American-Samoan handball and beach handball player and wrestler .

Stephanie Floor is the daughter of an American Samoan mother and an American father. She has two sisters and two brothers. The mother died early. At times she grew up in New York State . She comes from a very athletic family that has produced a large number of successful and professional athletes. In 2005, she began wrestling at Tri-State Wrestling in Port Jervis , where the Olympic champion in 1984 , Ed and Lou Banach , were active. In 2011 the family moved back to American Samoa. She starts for the CaBoom Athletic Club of Ili'ili . The aggressively variable player, specialist and goalkeeper, like her twin sister Danielle, belongs to the founding generation of handball, especially beach handball, in American Samoa, whose driving force is her father Carl Sagapolutele Floor . In addition to handball in the hall and in the beach version, Floor plays soccer and wrestles for Gannon University in Erie , Pennsylvania in the Gannon University Athletics team. The brother CJ Floor was already a successful wrestler and had qualified for the 2012 Summer Olympics in London , but was not nominated because of disputes with the American-Samoan Association. He was also trained by the father. After finishing school in 2018, the sisters received sports scholarships as wrestlers for Gannon University, which traditionally has a very strong wrestling team. Floor majored in sports therapy. Floor reached the round of 16 at the National College Wrestling Association (WCWA) national student wrestling championships .

As captain, Floor was part of the squad of her association, which won the title at the U-17 Oceania Beach Handball Championships in 2017 against the favored Australian team and thus qualified for the 2018 Summer Youth Olympic Games . Floor was the tournament's most successful goalscorer and was voted best player. The good performances also contributed to the selection as the best junior player American Samoas 2017. In Buenos Aires , too , Floor was a captain in the squad that finished eleventh. With 79 points scored in nine games, she was not only the best thrower in her team, but also the 14th best goalscorer of the tournament, with an average of 8.8 points per game, she had the ninth-best rate.

The following year Floor was part of the American Samoas senior team. At the continental championships of Oceania 2019 and the parallel Australian championships, in which the team from American Samoa competed as a club team, the team won the silver medals in both competitions. In the context of the continental championships, the team from American Samoa only had to admit defeat to Australia and won not only against the representation of the Cook Islands , but also the team from New Zealand . At the Oceania Indoor Handball U19 Championships 2019 in Païta , New Caledonia , Floor and the American Samoas team competed in an indoor handball tournament for the first time. In preparation for wrestling, the twins also trained at the Gannon University Handball Club . A 23-10 opener win over Papua New Guinea was followed by a 27-16 win over Fiji . The third game against New Zealand was just lost 21-24. Against the hosts and eventual winners New Caledonia there was a 13-33 defeat, the last game against Australia was clearly lost with 23-34. The loss in the last game brought New Zealand to bronze with an equal score, while the American Samoa team finished fourth. Floor mostly played in goal, but at times she was also used in the field as a circle runner, whenever Jasmine Liu could not develop the right penetrating power in the position. With eight goals, she scored the most goals in the last game against Australia, although she had still played in goal in the first half.
