Stephen "Steve" Calder (born December 1, 1957 in Detroit , United States ) is a former Canadian sailor .
successes
Stephen Calder took part in the Soling boat class at the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles . Together with John Kerr , he was a crew member of skipper Hans Fogh and won the bronze medal with them when they finished third thanks to 49.7 points behind the US and Brazilian boats. In the same year he became world champion in Soling with Valdemar Bandolowski and Theis Palm . At the Pan American Games in Indianapolis in 1987 , Calder won the silver medal in Soling.
With Fogh and Kerr, Calder became Canadian champions in Soling in 1981, 1983 and 1984. In addition, they were joint European champions in 1983 and North American champions in 1984.
