Stephen Kinzer (2017)

Stephen Kinzer (* 1951 ) is an American journalist and author. He has worked as a foreign correspondent in more than fifty countries on five continents.

Life

Kinzer worked as a journalist for the New York Times newspaper for more than 20 years . From 1983 to 1989 he was the New York Times office manager in Nicaragua . From 1990 to 1996 he headed the New York Times office Germany in Bonn and Berlin . In 1996, Kinzer was appointed head of the newly opened New York Times office in Istanbul .

Kinzer is a Senior Fellow at the Watson Institute for International and Public Affairs at Brown University and writes foreign columns for the daily newspaper The Boston Globe .
