Stephen Philip Tompkinson (born October 15, 1965 in Stockton-on-Tees ) is a British actor .

Life

Stephen Tompkinson studied acting at the prestigious Central School of Speech and Drama . Tompkinson first became famous for his role as the courageous, unscrupulous reporter Damien Day in the satirical comedy Drop The Dead Donkey , which ran from 1990 to 1998. He appeared in the tragic comedy Brassed Off - With Timpani and Trumpets and the film Tabloid - Dangerous Revelations . He appeared alongside Clive Owen in Chancer , acted as a duo with Nick Berry in In Deep and starred in two series alongside Robson Green in 1998.
