Steve Bisley

Steve Bisley (born December 26, 1951 in Lake Munmorah , New South Wales ) is an Australian actor .

Life

Bisley completed an acting degree at the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) in Sydney in 1977 . He then mainly took on roles in Australian television productions. He first gained international fame as a police officer Jim Goose in the movie Mad Max (1979) at the side of his close friend Mel Gibson . In the remake of The Great Gatsby (2013) he played the mogul Dan Cody on the side of Leonardo DiCaprio .

Since the late 1970s, Bisley has appeared in more than 60 film and television productions. In 1984 and 1990 he was honored with the AFI Award for best supporting actor.

Bisley was married and divorced twice. He has four children with his first wife, Shauna Forrest, a costume designer. He has two children from his second marriage to Sally Burleigh, a publicist.
