Steve Jurvetson
Stephen T. Jurvetson (born March 1, 1967 in Arizona , USA ) as a child of Estonian immigrants, is an American electrical engineer , manager and one of the three founders and current head of the large venture capital company Draper Fisher Jurvetson .
Steve Jurvetson serves on the boards of directors of SpaceX , Synthetic Genomics and Tesla Motors .
biography
Steve Jurvetson earned a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Stanford University in 1988 and then a master of science degree in 1990 . He later earned an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business in 1995 .
From 1987 to 1989 he worked as an engineer in research and development at Hewlett-Packard . 1990 to 1993 worked as a consultant at Bain & Company . In 1994 he worked in marketing for NeXT Computer and in product marketing for Apple .
