Steve Müller (born May 16, 1985 in Halle an der Saale ) is a German football player .

Career

In the club

From 2003 to 2005 Müller played at 1. FC Magdeburg and played a total of 62 games there. For the 2005/06 season he moved to the second team of VfL Wolfsburg in the Oberliga Nord. In 2006/07 he was a member of the Bundesliga squad of VfL Wolfsburg, but did not make a professional appearance. In the 2007/08 season he played 30 games for VfB Lübeck in the Regionalliga Nord and with his late goal to make it 1-0 on the last day of the game against Rot-Weiss Essen, he kept them in the fourth-rate Regionalliga West . In 2008 he moved to Erzgebirge Aue in the 3rd division . There he could not prevail and only played eight games. After half a year he moved to Wuppertaler SV Borussia . From January 2009 to summer 2010, Müller wore the Wuppertal jersey 43 times and scored one goal. From the 2010/11 season he played for the regional league team Holstein Kiel . After the relegated only finished sixth in Müller's first season, he played all the harder the next season and reached the DFB Cup quarter-finals after victories over Energie Cottbus , MSV Duisburg and Mainz 05 . Müller, who scored a goal against Mainz 05, met the German champions Borussia Dortmund there with Kiel . This defeated Holstein Kiel with 0: 4 and then missed promotion to the 3rd division in second place behind Halleschen FC . In the 2012/13 season Müller won the championship with Holstein Kiel and rose to the 3rd division after promotion games against KSV Hessen Kassel . After the winter break of the 2013/14 season, he moved to Hertha BSC II in the Regionalliga Nordost . In July 2014, Müller went to league competitor TSG Neustrelitz .

In the national team

Müller made his debut on August 23, 2001 for the U-17 of the German national team in the game against Switzerland . In 2002 he joined the U-17s at the European Championships in Denmark and was eliminated from France in the quarter-finals . He then played five more missions for the U-18 national team .
