Steve Marcus
Steve Marcus , actually Stephen David Marcus, (born September 18, 1939 in New York , † September 25, 2005 in New Hope , Pennsylvania ) was an American saxophonist . Marcus was an internationally known jazz musician and played with Stan Kenton , Herbie Mann and Buddy Rich .
Marcus studied at Berklee College of Music in Boston from 1959 to 1961 . Since 1963 he played in a Stan Kenton orchestra, from 1967 to 1970 as a member of the Herbie Mann Group . 1971 to 1973 he worked with Larry Coryell , since 1975 with Buddy Rich .
