Steve "Z" Zolotow (born March 30, 1945 in New York City , New York ) is a professional American poker player . He is the son of the children's author Charlotte Zolotow (1915-2013) and is nicknamed The Bald Eagle .

Poker career

Career

Zolotow has been playing professional poker tournaments since 1984 . During this time he achieved numerous in-the-money placements at the World Series of Poker (WSOP) and the World Poker Tour . In 1995 he won a bracelet at the WSOP in Las Vegas in Chinese Poker and prevailed against stars like Doyle Brunson and Howard Lederer . In 2001 Zolotow won another bracelet in the tournament series. Zolotow finished fourth on season two of the World Poker Tour and received over $ 259,000  in prize money, which is his largest revenue in a single tournament.

So far, Zolotow has won nearly $ 2.5 million through official live poker tournaments.
