Steven Reineke

Steven Reineke (born September 14, 1970 in Tipp City , Ohio ) is an American composer , arranger and conductor of German descent.

Life

Reineke learned to play the trumpet at a young age . At 15, he brought in the self-study the piano at. He studied trumpet and composition at Miami University in Oxford , Ohio . After graduating in 1993, he went to Los Angeles , where he had the opportunity to conduct a workshop with the Warner Brothers Studio Orchestra recording his own works. In 1995 Reineke went to Cincinnati , where he joined the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra and became its first composer and arranger. Since then he has appeared as a guest conductor with many renowned orchestras , including the Vermont Symphony Orchestra, the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra and the National Symphony of Taiwan in Taipei .

Since 2011 he has been Principal Pops Conductor of the National Symphony Orchestra , Washington, DC

Reineke's music is mainly program music , so it serves the musical implementation of literary models. In addition to some ballet orchestrations, he mainly composed for symphony orchestra or wind orchestra .
