The Foundation for Women's Literature Research e. V. is a non-profit association that was founded in 1986 in Bremen . There has been close cooperation with the University of Bremen since 1992 .
goals and tasks
The non-profit organization Frauen-Literatur-Forschung e. V . concentrates on researching, securing and making the literary work of authors and translators who have been publishing in Germany in Germany since 1945 visible and making the data available for scientific use.
The association produces the database of women writers in Germany 1945 ff. ( DaSinD ) and initiates cooperation and networks by and for specialist scientists . In addition, it supports discussions and research in German and literary studies and organizes seminars , workshops and conferences . She is involved in literary and cultural-political contexts, publishes the Inter-Lit series and organizes events , discussions and presentations for a wide audience.
DaSinD Texte has existed since 2006 . Topic-centered quotations from literary publications by German-speaking women writers from all centuries are posted here. DaSinD Texte is currently using reflexA to show quotes on literary mirror scenes by women.
Working method
The association's work is primarily financed by membership fees and donations . The income generated by the DaSinD online usage fee comes directly from the work on the database of women writers in Germany 1945ff. benefit.
The association provides places for interns and volunteers. In addition, so-called integration jobs give long-term unemployed women the opportunity to train how to get back to work.
Publications
The foundation has published the Inter-Lit series since 1999 and has been published by Peter Lang Verlag since 2002 . Volume 11 was published in 2011: Gender images in transition?
