The " Foundation trias - non-profit foundation for soil, ecology and living " is an independent foundation under private law with its seat in Hattingen ( North Rhine-Westphalia ). In addition to the office in Hattingen, the foundation has an office in Munich .

It was founded on March 2, 2002 with a foundation capital of € 70,000 and is registered in the North Rhine-Westphalia foundation register with the serial number 21.13.01.02-304. The foundation's assets in 2015 amounted to around € 7.2 million.

The foundation's supervisory body is the board of trustees consisting of at least five people. The board consists of three to five people.

Statute and goals

The trias foundation promotes initiatives that address issues of speculation-free handling of land, ecological behavior and new forms of living.

She realizes her foundation goals together with cooperation partners within the framework of the charitable goals.

The foundation's goals according to the statutes include

  • the promotion of youth and elderly care
  • promoting international attitudes, tolerance in all areas of culture and the idea of ​​international understanding,

activity

The foundation supports projects and plans within the meaning of its statutes primarily through financial donations or the granting of usage rights, e.g. B. in the form of heritable building rights .

The focus of the work is on the promotion of community use and development of buildings and land. The foundation's assets are preferably used to purchase land that is made available to community, future-oriented residential and cohousing projects and other charitable initiatives and withdrawn from the real estate market. The Freiburg tenement house syndicate and the Swiss Edith Maryon Foundation are following a very similar model .

The proceeds of the foundation are used again to support existing projects and to set up new ones.

The trias foundation also takes on the fiduciary administration of sub-foundations , such as the "Communia - community foundation for affordable housing in Metzingen ". This means that the founders do not have to set up and manage their own foundation.

The trias foundation manages and finances the offers Wohnprojekte-Portal.de and Neue-Wohnformen.de as a central information point for communal living.

Together with other foundations, the foundation participates in the "At eye level" fund, which supports the voluntary work of community foundations for refugees.
