The Krýsuvíkurvegur T42 is a side road on the southwest peninsula of Iceland .

It connects the Reykjanes Bride S41 with the Suðurstrandarvegur S427over a distance of 25 km. This road is paved up to 1 km. Krýsuvík is also the name of a farm that is located south of the Seltún thermal area today . Even further south is the Krýsuvíkurkirkja from 1857. It burned down completely in a fire in early 2010 and has since been rebuilt. A farm called Krýsuvík used to be located here. Much of the road runs through Reykjanesfólkvangur , a protected landscape area.

In Hafnarfjörður the Krýsuvíkurvegur branches off from the Reykjanesbraut S41 to the south without crossing . The Bláfjallavegur branches off to the east H417and leads to the Bláfjöll ski area . Vigdísarvallavegur highland road runs west of the Sveifluháls mountain range . After the Vatnsskarð, the Krýsuvíkurvegur runs along the west bank of the Kleifarvatn . Further on, west of the Seltún road, you will reach the most famous thermal area in Krýsuvík . The Krýsuvíkurvegur ends at Suðurstrandarvegur , the connecting road between Grindavík and Þorlákshöfn .
